Why we "Party With A Purpose" Parrot Heads of Citrus Inc. is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to serving the community. In addition to our community assistance, we have environmental concerns as we are located in the heart of manatee waters on the Nature Coast of Florida. We offer club activities for people who enjoy the music, literary works and tropical lifestyle that Jimmy Buffett personifies. Special events that we participate in include the Manatee Festival, Earth Day Celebration, the Hurricane Expo and Sunset Festival just to name a few. Money raised from our efforts have benefited such charities as Hospice of Citrus County, American Cancer Society, The Path of Citrus County, The Family Readiness Group, Save the Manatee, Alzheimer's Association and Dolphin Research. We have also donated money and food as well as toys during the holidays to established organizations and have “adopted” a number of children through Family Resource Center at Christmas and “adopted” residents at a local assisted living facility and enjoyed having a party with them. Parrot Heads of Citrus have adopted a number of manatees annually and have donated to the Homosassa Springs Wildlife Park “Manatee Fund“. We welcome anyone with a tropical spirit and desire to contribute to the betterment of our community. We assist in community and environmental concerns. We have a variety of social activities for people with similar interests, including the enjoyment of the tropical spirit of Jimmy Buffett's music. We participate in many community and social events throughout the year. We have several fund raising events and parties as well. Come and join us - we phlock together the first Saturday of each month to 'party with a purpose'. Fins Up, |
